JUST RICE

saving the world one pouch at a time

JUST RICE is a brand to deliver rice in 3rd world countries in a more environmental friendly fashion. The purpose of these bags are to be served to the poor so they can eat more proportionally and to be reused. The smaller bags equal one serving of rice lined with a fabric. Each family is able to visit their village store and purchase a large bag of rice filled with proportioned bags. The day they purchase the rice bags, they can receive a sewing kit as well. Once the bags are emptied, consumers can unsew the bags, and sow the bags and create quilts or larger bags for their own personal use.

This was definitely one of my favorite projects to make. The concept of the design is the most important, and what strengthens the piece all together.

All print was a transfer of sorts or screen printing.
